| I was born and raised in Missouri and consider it “home”. I love the Ozarks! But I have lived in the Puget Sound area of Washington for the past 14 years. Recently I decided to pack my things and travel with my husband, Mike, to his temporary work assignments which have taken him to San Diego (CA), Mayport (FL), Honolulu (HI), and Adak (AK). My first trip is to San Diego. Mike is a civilian worker for Puget Sound Naval Shipyard.
I have two daughters currently working part-time at video stores and attending community college. Jenna has a Thomson Education Direct certificate in Graphic Arts and is planning to further her knowledge in Graphic Arts and Web Design. Kellie is a gifted vocalist, but has yet to decide specific future plans (having just graduated from high school). She\'s working on general education requirements with a \"dash\" of music.
I began painting just before moving to Washington state, about 1987. A limited number of classes were taught at the local craft shop in Millington, TN. I took all available classes, purchased Jo Sonja’s series “The Joy of Painting” and continued to learn. Through a few classes at local shops and seminars at the local NSTDP chapters, I continued to learn and enjoy decorative painting. My greatest dream was to be published. My first two books “Dream Weavers” and “Dream Team” came out in 1997 and 1998, though Darrow Productions went out of business at that time.
My current aspirations are to do new material and develop my own styles and techniques to publish more books, packets, travel teach and do trade floors. I also am making plans to put \"pamhandesigns\" online with my own website early in 2003. I’ve contemplated trying to illustrate books as well in the more distant future.
Thanks for visiting and I hope you enjoy shopping at the Packet Emporium.
