| Hello, welcome to my page! Here you can find my patterns and my credentials as an artist, but let me tell you a little about myself and the goals I persue with my patterns. I am self-taught and consider myself more painter than artist. My favorite subjects are flowers and landscapes. Flowers are wonderful because there is an infinite palette of colors that can be used. Landscapes are fun because you can be the architect of your imagination. It\'s my belief that painting is for everyone who has the desire, but it seems the world is spinning faster these days, not allowing many the time for classes or practice. Through the years of trial and error, I have discovered non-traditional techniques for achieving traditional results, making painting quicker and easier along the way. It is my hope that as I share these methods in my patterns that it will encourage and simplify painting for the beginner or infrequent painter as well as demonstrate shortcuts for the intermediate. It is my goal to present painting with instantaneous results and without complicated strokework making it successful, but most of all making painting lots of fun. Member: SCD (Society of Craft Designers) SDP (Society of Decorative Painters) Publishing since 1995: Published over 20 craft books, soft cover (solo and combined artists) Contributor to four hardcover craft/paint books Published in over 12 craft/paint magazines, more than 200 projects Projects used in manufacturer\\\'s ads Projects appeared on HGTV (shown by other designers using my project) Resume working with Manufacturers: I am Creative Artisan for F.M. Brush Co., Inc. of Glendale, NY. F.M. Brush makes private label brushes as well as their own, the Dynasty and Black Gold labels, including Kid Dynasty. I demonstrate their brushes at trade shows, reply to painting questions, create projects for the web site and trade show classes. I have also had the privilege of being the first to use their new specialty brushes such as the Black Gold Wave Series and develop projects using them. I have created projects requested by The Leather Factory (formerly Tandy), Midwest Products, Plaid, Walnut Hollow and McCall\\\'s Patterns. I teach at JoAnn\\\'s Etc., in Flint Michigan Designer pool at Plaid Enterprises and occasionally create and cap projects and project sheets for Wal-Mart, Michaels, JoAnn\\\'s and AC Moore. |
